Deep tissue massage is a strong massage because it reaches the connective tissue of the body, not just the most superficial muscles.

-When a professional therapist performs strong massage (deep tissue), he always uses a variety of techniques with slow movements, in order to minimize pain. In is case,  it is applied a firm pressure to reach the muscles and the fascia. So, these techniques help loosen the muscles to release the tension.

-One of the defining differences between deep tissue and a regular massage is the use of tools. A regular massage involves only the therapist’s hands and forearms.

During treatment, the therapist uses the elbows and fingers to reach the muscle. This technique helps to release lactic acid (toxin) and helps to relax the muscle. In addition,  tools such as ceramics, glass or wooden props can also be used, but with caution and knowledge.
